Sunday Dinner.

This weekend I had some friends come up to Utah to visit.
Well maybe they didn't come to visit me specifically,
but nonetheless they were here.
On Thursday we went to Brick Oven.
And got FREE pizza. YES FREE!!
So awesome as a poor college student.
And we watched How To Train Your Dragon.
Alright, so maybe I didn't watch it...because I fell asleep.
But, they watched it at my apartment.
On Friday, we got GS (thats short for Golden Spoon).
Then hung out at my apartment, played games, and then went to this dance thing.
Skip Saturday because they went skiing. While I hung out with Tedi (my roommate).
Today, I prepared a delicious meal for Blake, Adam, Alan, Patrick, Lauren, and Tedi.
(With Tedi's help, of course).
We had Marinara pasta (my specialty) with chicken in it.
Veggies. Garlic Bread. and butterscotch cookies (compliments of Ashley and Lindsay...thanks).
Tedi and I have just been relaxing all day and watching movies.
Oh and I definitely did some homework.
AND...I applied to a nanny job that I think would be perfect for me.
Well thats all. Time to go to ward prayer.
Until next time...

You Don't Know What You Really Have...

Until it is gone.
Moving to Utah has really made me appreciate certain things a little more in my life.

1. FAMILY.
I love my family so much.
I didn't think it would be that hard to move away from them.
But, I have come to find out that it is much harder than I thought.
I am grateful that Heidi lives right above me.
I am grateful for my family and the love that they show me.
I feel so blessed to have such a fabulous loving family.

2. FRIENDS.
I have some of the best friends back at home.
We all have so many good memories.
Being in a whole new environment makes it a little more difficult to make friends.
Especially, when I am not the most outgoing person.
But, I am doing my best to try and meet new people.
I most definitely miss my girls though!!

3. MY HEAVENLY FATHER/TESTIMONY.
I have had to rely more and more on my Heavenly Father.
As I have moved up here, I have been missing home.
I always pray that I will be comforted.
I realize that I have to have so much faith that my Heavenly Father is watching out for me.
Find a job is hard. I have faith that I will find one.
My testimony of faith is growing more and more now that I live on my own.

4. A JOB.
I was so blessed to be able to teach piano.
I miss all my students so much.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity I had to teach
and meet such wonderful children.

5. SCHOOL.
I miss going to school full-time.
I know...WEIRD!! But its true.
I only have one class a week.
My days are boring and filled of finding a job.
I cannot wait until I can go back to school full-time.

6. BEING BUSY. (always)
I love to be busy and have things to do.
Even though going to school full time and working was stressful and busy...
I loved it. It kept me busy.
I cannot wait for when I go back to school full-time and have a job.

Don't take things for granted.
You really don't know what you really have...until it is gone.

this is about my first two days in provo and im sorry if its boring

I was so sad after Mom Dad and Maelen left me stranded in Provo yesterday.
{okay not really stranded}
It was then that I realized...I am really on my own.
It kept feeling like a dream to me that I was moving to Provo.
And that dream came true.
Now that I am here--it is time to find myself a job.
I have never done this before.
I had the privilege of teaching piano from 6 years.
That was honestly the coolest job I have had.
{oh wait...it is the only job I have had-other than babysitting}
{Side note: one of my dear piano students emailed me yesterday to see how I was doing. How precious is that? Ahhh I miss my students. But they are now in good hands.}
Yesterday I searched online for some jobs.
Today I went in to Pier 1 Imports and filled out an application.
I made copies of my résumé and letters of recommendation.

Yesterday was day one of my class.
I am taking a religion class on Marriage and Family.
This class is going to be fun.
There are 5 of us in the class right now.
So we will all become close.
My teacher is entertaining, fun, smart(obviously), and of course spiritual.
Today I picked up the book we are required to have.
After blogging I am going to start reading.
Is it weird to say I am excited to read?
Because I am. And I don't usually get excited to read.
I am really looking forward to this class.

After my parents and Maelen left yesterday, it was hard for me.
It was at that moment that they drove away that I realized...
I am now on my own.
I have had to remind myself many many times over these past two days that:
1. I have family who loves me and supports me
2. I have friends who are there for me when I need them
3. I have a loving Heavenly Father. He knows me. He knows my weaknesses and my strengths.
He is always there for me. He is watching out for me. And he is comforting me when I need him most.
These three things have helped me get through these past couples days.
They are just constant reminders.
I have the best family and friends.
I am grateful for this opportunity that I have to live on my own.
I am looking forward to learning more about myself.
I am truly grateful for my sister Heidi and that I have her living right above me.
I would say I am quite lucky to have her here.
And I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father.

As always...it is never a blog without pictures.
Here are some of my favs...

Goodbye California...

Hello Provo!!
After a long week of packing and visiting friends and saying goodbyes...
I finally made it to Provo safely.
Heidi, Steven, Mom, Dad, and I made our trek to Provo this morning.
I moved my belongings into my apartment.
And I am staying at Heidis until I can officially move in and get a key on Monday.

Tonight will be a relaxing night.
Tomorrow-church at my new ward!!
Pick up Maelen. I am so excited to see her.
Hang out with the family.
And maybe unpack a little bit.
Monday unpack and shop for anything else needed.

I am so excited to be up here.
I miss my family and friends back at home so much.
But this is a good change for me.
I keep praying that I will find a job, do well in school, and be comforted.

Oh I am so glad that Provo welcomed me here with 10 degree weather. (NOT)
Layers. Layers. Layers.
Oh and I do love boots. I get to wear my new ones that my parents got me from Christmas.
Well, I think that is it.
I will take some pictures and post them later. (If I do remember to)

A few favorite pictures:
{the family+steven. saying goodbyes to gma}
{the fam. i love them.}
{I will miss my little man (luke)}
Until next time...
Peace and Blessings.

Moment to Remember.

This past monday was a moment to remember.
After teaching for about 4 1/2 years,
I put on my last piano recital.
I am so proud of all of my students.
They all worked so hard over the years I have taught them.
I am so sad to be leaving them.
I wish I could take all of them with me.
I will miss them all so much.
I love them.
{Here are all of my students.
Minus 3 of them.}

Only twenty-two days til I move.
This is crazy and happening so fast.
1 more week of school to finish.
1 paper to write.
3 tests to study for.
I can do this.
Almost graduation time :)

And two of my favorite pictures.
{Luke dressed up as a frog.}
{This is Donovon <3}

Peace and love.

Lately.

I am a huge slacker.

Being so busy these days hasn't left me much time to blog.

But, I thought I probably give a little update on my life.

1. School is crazy.

There are only 9 more school days left.

So finals are coming up quick.

2. I went to disneyland....

for maybe one of the last times in a while.

Emilie, Cody, Donovon, and I had a fabulous fun night.

It wasn't too crowded because it rained earlier in the day.

3. I threw a party for Maelens 18th birthday with Milla.

We had it at the church.

Played indoor soccer.

Had music playing.

Danced the night away.

Played wii/just dance.

Ate yummy desserts.

It was a definite fun night.

4. Things I am grateful for.

Since I missed my thanksgiving blog...

here are some things I am grateful for.

1. Family

2. The Gosepl

3. Friends

4. Education

5. My Testimony

6. My home

7. Daily meals

8. My way of transportation

9. My job

And so much more.

5. Moving soon.

I move in 30 days!!

Its insane how fast it has come up.

It is so close.

I am super excited!!

See you soon Heidi :)

6. Piano Recital.

Its that time of year again.

And this time...its the last time.

I am putting on my very last piano recital.

Many of my students ask if I have to move and if I can just stay here.

I tell them that I have to go.

And they get all sad...so that makes me so incredibly sad.

Monday will be a night that breaks my heart.

I love all of my students so much and I will miss them all.

7. Other than school…

I am having fun with friends.

There is only so much time that I have left with my friends here.

Gotta live it up!!

Well...thats about it for now.

Until next time....have a fabulous week.
